Happy Birthday Jack!!
I’d like to think you’ve had a really good day. Hopefully lots of family and some mates around now that the school holidays have started. And some cool presents that were just what you wanted. Or are you at the stage of just wanting money now, so you can spend it on what you want?
Are you doing any summer activities this year? Maybe a sports club? Rock climbing perhaps? Something requiring a bit of ‘clever’ as well as skill.
So, news! Someone called Jack left a message on this site a few days ago. Was it you? I am really hoping it was. That would be amazing! It would be wonderful to hear from you, really great. So, I know it’s really you, why not just leave a little message with your mum’s middle name? If you wanted to really show off, maybe you remember the name of Grandad Roger’s dog? 🙂
Tell me what you want to tell me – that would be awesome! Or just leave a smilie! Up to you – always! Or you could ping a text to this number
What else? Been working really hard down in London. it’s a great job and I love it but gosh it’s hard work. I get to meet lots of important people and do some important work though, so it’s well worth it. Needed my holiday though. So we’ve gone to Wales for a week with the family. Took a trip on a steam railway yesterday, which climbed into the mountains and finished at a beautiful place called Devil’s Bridge. The engine had to work really hard to pull all the coaches up the hill; I didn’t realise a train could climb up rails so steep – amazing. I could almost hear the engine panting “I think I can – I know I can”!! Made me smile anyway!
Got to the top, had a bite to eat and then went along a steep rocky path into a deep wooded valley. I could hear running water but couldn’t see a thing. Then around a corner and, like wow! The photo below doesn’t begin to do it justice. The waterfall was way too tall to photograph and the bit in the picture is just a small section. So many steps. So much water spray. So much fun!
Also took a walk along the coast – some big caves and cliffs all made from slate. Very dramatic!
Anyway, Oscar and Garfield came with me but like a muppet I didn’t take a picture. They stay in my car always, and they always will.
So, once again, happy birthday to you. With love, from me
