Another year gone again! Suddenly it’s all about decorations, trees, presents, turkey dinners with too much gravy and maybe the odd glass of pop. Then chocolates and sweets and puddings! Some games and then settling in to watch Strictly Come Dancing, Call the Midwife and Downton Abbey. I think they should combine them all into Downton’s Strict Midwife! Maybe set to music..?
Anyway, I hope you have had a good year and Christmas has brought you many good things and some big smiles. Tomorrow is Boxing Day. (Why did I need to write that – it happens every year?). So, we’re off down to Uncle Phil and Auntie Suzy’s house. They have had an extension built and have some more room, so for the first time, the family Boxing Day get together is going to be at their house instead of Nanna Vicky’s. Maria, Edward and Oliver will be there but William isn’t coming down until the next day. But there’ll be fun and games as ever and I’m really looking forward to it. I wish you could be with us – you really used to enjoy the Boxing Day bash. I will be thinking of you and hoping you’re having good fun too.
As for us, we’ve had a lovely day, the first Christmas in our new Kinoulton home. Lauren and Sam are back from University and Emily finished her work in good time for Christmas Eve. So we had a nearly full house but there’s always room for a few more here. We had all the Kinoulton Bulmers in the house today – still plenty of space!
So there’s we have it. Lots of family gathered round, good food, good times, big smiles. All good. I am sure the same for you, I hope so very much. Enjoy the rest of your Christmas holiday, Jack. Make it a good one!! 🙂
